I am the true Republican in this race. Here is why I am running to represent Tennessee Senate District 7.

Why I'm Running

My road to politics began in 2015 when the Tennessee legislature repealed a law that protected doctors and patients from government interference. This resulted in tens of thousands of Tennesseans who live with serious health issues being abandoned by the healthcare system.

For the last ten years, I have been advocating in Nashville and Washington D.C. for patient rights for Tennesseans who suffer, encouraging our state and federal legislators to craft pro-patient legislation and policies. During this time, I have seen how the legislative sausage is made on a wide variety of issues that are important to Tennesseans. I have also seen the negative impact that big government and special interest lobbyists have on the legislative process.

I have learned much about what is wrong in Nashville on my path to candidacy. I have worked outside the system as an advocate for a decade. I believe it is time to take everything I have learned and work inside the system with the larger goal of limiting the role of government in our daily lives, reducing the influence of special interest lobbyists, and restoring liberty to the people of Tennessee.

A Clear Contrast

My opponent, three-term incumbent Richard Briggs, currently "represents" Tennessee's 7th Senate District. Over the years, many of our elected officials have shown us their true colors — none more so than Senator Briggs.

Briggs' Record

  • Taken in almost 80% of his war chest from special interest groups across the country.
  • Repeatedly favored bills that strip individuals of their Constitutional rights and give big payoffs to cronies in pro sports, big business, big pharma, and healthcare.
  • A tireless advocate for CDC, NIH, and WHO policies harmful to Tennesseans — from mask mandates to removing the unvaccinated from transplant lists.
  • Authored legislation to legalize treatment or vaccination of your children without your consent.
  • Voted for the largest tax increase in Tennessee history in 2017.

Healthcare

I had a front-row seat to the decline of our healthcare system for 20 years. My personal experience opened my eyes to the suffering many Tennesseans are forced to endure under our current misguided government policies.

I will work to:

  • Prevent unconstitutional government mandates in any form
  • Protect treatment options for patients
  • Remove government interference with the doctor-patient relationship
  • Restore civilian oversight of health-related state agencies

Parental Rights

My opponent, Richard Briggs, sponsored a bill that would have allowed medical providers to administer vaccines without parental consent.

I will work to protect parental rights in all areas, especially making medical decisions for their children.

Tax Relief, Fiscal Responsibility & Regulations

I support tax relief for all Tennesseans. Richard Briggs voted for the largest tax increase in the history of Tennessee in 2017. He voted to give $500 million to billionaires to build a new stadium in Nashville, and voted to give Ford Motor Company a billion dollars to open a factory in Tennessee. I think billionaires should pay for their own projects and big businesses should invest in their own factories.

I will work to:

  • Repeal the oppressively high gas tax that was included in the IMPROVE Act
  • Eliminate oppressive taxes for Tennesseans and fight unnecessary spending
  • Reduce government red tape, eliminate burdensome regulations, and remove unnecessary licensing fees on Tennesseans

Education

My opponent consistently votes against educational freedom for Tennesseans and is endorsed by liberal education associations like the Tennessee Education Association.

I will work to:

  • Provide meaningful educational options for Tennesseans while simultaneously improving our public schools
  • Expand and improve vocational and technical programs so young adults can go directly into the job market after graduating high school

Every Life is Sacred

Nothing is a surprise to God. Every life is sacred and meaningful. However, being pro-life is more than just a slogan. It requires a long-term commitment to protecting the unborn. My opponent consistently works to weaken Tennessee's pro-life laws. Tennessee Right to Life even revoked their endorsement of Briggs in the last election cycle.

I will work to protect life and improve policies that make it easier for a mother to keep her child and be a successful parent. I will also work to improve our foster care and adoption systems.

The Second Amendment

My opponent supports red flag laws and works to weaken our Second Amendment rights. I fully support the Second Amendment.

Term Limits

My opponent claims to support term limits for our elected federal representatives but doesn't support term limits for himself. He has been a state senator for 12 years and is running for his fourth four-year state senate term.

Two senate terms — eight years — should be enough. If elected, I commit to only serving two senate terms.
